In 1999, the RadioFrequency Interagency Working Group - made up of government agencies involved in RadioFrequency issues - concluded that the RadioFrequency standard at the time (which remains the same today) "May not adequately protect the public."
This group also cited a lack of study on long-term, low-level chronic exposures as well as the fact that the standards are based only on adult males (as the "average" person), so women and children who are smaller may be left extraordinarily vulnerable. And children have maturing brains and bodies which are a hotbed of cell activity -- what do these exposures do to them?
